MBA is a much needed degree in our current competitive global business arena. MBA is the must to manage a business , to be a professional etc. It means MBA becomes the necessity for current age professionals. There are various MBA specialization courses available from which students can opt for. 

MBA in healthcare management is one such area of specialization. Now we will proceed with understanding the importance of healthcare management and prospects for MBA healthcare students. 

Healthcare is one of the essential needs of the people. The growing number of population specially in developing country like ours we can clearly find the gap between the demand and supply in healthcare facilities available to people. The gap lead to waiting time , medical errors and patient dissatisfaction. The average income of the middle class consumers has increased for last few years and so the consumers hierarchy no longer is a traditional triangle shaped. The current consumer base is more concentrated in middle income and lower income middle class segment consumers. In this topic i discussed about consumer income group and hierarchy is just to emphasize the role of government healthcare facilities. Traditionally maximum population were more depended on Government healthcare facilities which is not true for current days economic situation. 

The lower income consumers and middle income consumers income range has increased considerably with huge opportunities and developed income slabs. This has led to increase in huge demand for private healthcare , comfortable and customized facilities for patients. The consumers look for more of Customized healthcare facilities. The increased demand for private healthcare has also come up due to various Insurance schemes and companies coming u with lucrative healthcare packages and all. HEALTHCARE a very important and lucrative sections for all now. Since healthcare is developing so rapidly with huge private players with large investments coming up and increasing day by day, CAREER opportunities are at an inflationary rate also. The various increase in career opportunities in healthcare can be discussed in different arena. MBA healthcare job opportunities has come up largely in various sectors which includes core medical and non medical as well as research process.
